When originating this project (as a newspaper column back in the 80’s), little
did I know that the future would provide an opportunity to have it appear all
over the world on a medium we know as the Internet/world wide web. The column appeared each week
for several years, in the St.Croix Avis, a daily newspaper in St.Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. This being the first to appear on the Internet,
gives me time for pause. What follows is a special contribution, a special
opportunity to reflect on what the library is all about, truly what’s in it
for us. |
